STAND YOUR GROUND & ABIDE IN ME
‘Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. ‘
Ephesians 6:10-11
Remain in His Presence
It is imperative that we remain in the presence of the Lord for we are in the last of the last days. The Lord is resetting a lot of things and all He asks of us is to abide in Him. To lean not on our own understanding, but in all of our ways acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. Many have been swarmed with intrusive thoughts, overthinking, confusion, but I remind you that the Lord is found in the stillness. I hear the Lord say even now.. ‘STAND YOUR GROUND AND REMAIN IN ME.’
This morning, the Lord kept saying ‘You can have as much of me as you want’ and reminded me of the word He had me write in January with that specific title. He reminded me that as we draw near unto Him, He will draw near unto us. He reminded me that the only time that He stops the pour is when we move our cup.. and in dry seasons we must stay fixated on the things above.. on what He has shown us about His character in past seasons. We need not to be anxious for anything but in prayer, supplication and in thanksgiving we should make our requests known unto Him.
It’s Not About Feelings
Following Jesus is not based on feelings. It is based on fervent love that He first exemplified, and empowered us with His Spirit so that we are able to give Him the same love in return. Love is patient, love is kind, it is long-suffering. Even when everything around us fails, we shall not be discouraged because our love story between Jesus and His bride will NOT FAIL!
Beloved, I encourage you to put on the whole armour of God so that you may STAND having done all things TO STAND! Stand in faith. Stand in purity. Stand in righteousness. Stand in His love. Stand in Him. I challenge you, anytime you feel any form of pushback, intrusive thoughts, discouragement, lack of faith etc, get into the Secret Place and let the Lord refresh you with His presence.
Power In Prayer
‘But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers. ‘
1 Peter 4:7
The bible says that we can build our faith up as we pray in the Spirit (Jude 1:20). The Word of God says that faith comes from hearing, and hearing the Word of God. What are you feeding your soul? What are you spending time doing? May I remind you that reading your word is also engaging in prayer! I encourage you to go deeper in the Presence, in the word, in Him even if your flesh doesn’t feel like it!
Remember, there is power in prayer. There is power in our tongue. I encourage you to ask yourself, ‘What have I been meditating on? What have I been declaring over my life? Have I been losing faith? Have I been ignoring the Holy Spirit’s tug on my heart to abide in the Secret Place?’
GO DEEPER:
I pray this word encourages you. That no matter what you are going through you are not alone. The Lord is getting ready to do something major for His glory. Be not discouraged for the Lord has already gone ahead of you. He is the one who aligns your steps. He is the one who makes straight your paths. Be encouraged and STAND YOUR GROUND in Jesus name.
